Who was she ?

This Princess Louise was the 6th child and 4th daughter of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. Having produced an heir and a spare plus three daughters as consorts to other European royals, Louise was in many ways one too many, although there were three more siblings to come. She had no specific role and although she was restricted by her royal environment from an early age she was described as determined, self-willed and attractive. Having studied her life time achievements one would have thought that everyone would know who she was. Like many prominent ladies especially those with titles their contribution to the female cause was not recorded at the time and other lower ranked mortals have taken the credit.
